And between all the chaos, hopes, and dreams… one fine day out of nowhere, before we even realize and feel ready to face it...Life throws these questions on us that
What are you doing?
Where are you leading?
What are your plans?
How will you be able to make it?
Every corner you take your eyes to has this big question mark.
and the big exclamation in front of you, both together, and this gets pretty serious…
Hey, I am Neeraj Malviya and I am no special, I am just like you ready to do what it takes to be on the other side of overcoming my fear, and self-doubt but not at the cost of losing my smile.
Today this is the very reason I am writing this blog to make you all understand that working hard is good but being dead serious about something is like calling mental death in advance.
Think for a second why as kids we never felt so heavy, We had bigger dreams, and bigger visions but as we start growing older… this world around us expects us to live and go by its crazy checklist that the majority of people follow very seriously, and it is overwhelming!
I understand how it feels like to not be able to feel anything and completely relate to what you must be feeling right now, in this very moment.
This is that point in all our lives where everything around us just starts getting slow, starts feeling heavy and every little thing that used to make you feel great about yourself starts feeling less and has almost zero existence.
Wise people say, “If you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go together.”
But what if I have no plans or I am not clear about where I have to go or what I have to do that will make me feel complete, uplifted, and bring my mind to peace….
What if I just don’t know because I am still on that journey of realizing what I really want in my life from my life
Today, I am here to tell you that it is okay! It is okay to feel everything you are feeling.
There is this very famous verse in Bhagavad Gita that says.
उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत् । आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः ॥ (in Hindi)
“One should lift up oneself by oneself. One should not let oneself get depressed or defeated - because the self is the friend of oneself, and the self is the enemy of oneself.”
This is so powerful, isn’t it?
Likely in whichever stage of life you are, this calling that you have of wanting more and doing more and life getting all serious is just an indication that the universe is pushing you to become the better version of yourself with everything you have in the present time.
But at the same time, the universe does not expect you to become dead serious and stop living your life and detach yourself from the little things that you cherish for example.
Pursuing your hobby,
Talking to your family,
Eating your favorite meal,
Spending time with friends,
Having a break,
Giving yourself ample space and time and peace is as important.
Do not let life overwhelm you because your present emotions are just one phase and there are many more that will come along to make you the better version of yourself.
Remember, life is short, and it's important to enjoy the journey and not just focus on the destination.
Enjoy the drill. Take the charge and make the most out of it!
I hope this blog on ”Do not take life too seriously" helped you understand that life is supposed to be lived and not take it too seriously with a smile and hope to make peace with the present.
Hasta la vista! 😊
